ABORTION
Most Important question to to focus on:
Is the unborn baby a person?Because if the unborn baby IS a person, they deserve the full protection of their life as a person.Quick Answers to 8 common objections:1. My Body My ChoiceGood responses:A. What are you choosing to do? Murder a baby? No, you don't have the right to do that.B. Can women do whatever they want with their bodies? Can women flail their arms around and hit other people with them?
There are already laws on the books that prohibit how women use their bodies, like prostitution and suicide. Are these laws all wrong too?C. The baby's body is NOT your body. It is a separate human being. If it is YOUR body, then that means that when you are pregnant, YOU have 4 arms, 4 legs, 2 heads, etc., No, it is not YOUR body, there is a separate body in there.2. Rape and IncestGood responses:A. Less than 1% of abortions are performed to terminate a pregnancy resulting from rape or incest. Hypothetically, if we did allow abortions in these cases (which we shouldn't) would you allow the rest of abortions to be outlawed? (they will not allow this, which means that their original objection to rape and incest was not a real objection but just a distraction).
Furthermore, proving an EXCEPTION (even if granted) does NOT prove a general rule.B. "Trot out the toddler" response (in more detail below) - Is it OK to murder a 2-year-old who was the result of rape or incest, if they are starting to get on your nerves? If not, then it shouldn't be OK for the unborn either.3. Men shouldn't have an opinion on this.Good response:Then women should not have an opinion on circumcision, or pedophilia.4. Women would die from back-alley abortions if you made abortions legal.Good responses:A. Sometimes when robbing a bank, a thief might get hurt.
Should we legalize robbery so that thieves don't get hurt?
Sometimes when committing murder, the murderer gets shot or hurt in some way.
Should we legalize murder, so that murderers don't sometimes get harmed in the process? Of course not!B. Also, this question assumes the unborn baby is NOT a person. If they ARE a person (which they are), then who cares about the location of their murder?
Whether it's in a back alley, or right in front of the white house, their murder is still wrong.5. Unborn babies who have disabilities should be aborted because they will have bad lives.Good responses:A. This question ASSUMES that people with disabilities ALL have bad lives. Should we just go ahead and kill all the disabled people of the world then? Of course not.B. The question is not whether a particular unborn entity is physically or mentally handicapped, but whether it is fully human and deserving of all rights of a human.6. Unwanted babies should be aborted.Good responses:A. You are assuming that children who start off UNWANTED will remain that way throughout the child's life.B. More importantly, you are assuming that because a child grows up unwanted, they would be better off dead. Many unwanted children end up having extremely fulfilling lives.C. "Trot out the toddler argument" - Is it OK to murder a 2-year-old, who the parents decide they don't want anymore?7. I am personally against abortion, but I don't object to a woman's right to get one.Good responses:A. Why are you personally against abortion?
If you believe it kills an innocent human being, why are you OK with other people killing innocent human beings?B. If someone was killing their 2-year-old on their front lawn, would you object, or call for help? I hope so. What's the difference? Murder is wrong regardless.8. Pro-Life advocates are trying to force their religion or moral beliefs on others.Good responses:A. Do you think it's wrong to force you morality on others? Then why are YOU trying to force YOUR morality (of pro-choice) on pro-lifers?B. Laws against drunk driving, murder, smoking crack, and child molestation are all examples of laws with the intent to impose a particular moral perspective on the free moral agency of others.C. If the unborn IS fully human, a woman receiving an abortion is imposing her morality upon another (the unborn baby)."Trotting Out the Toddler argument"Most pro-choice abortion questions can be overcome by replacing the unborn baby with a 2-year-old and playing out the question again.However you must first establish that the unborn IS a person.For instance, the pro-choice supporter says, "What about in cases of rape or incest?"You respond by "trotting out the toddler" which means bringing out the toddler.Your response should be, "If someone has a 2-year-old who was a consequence of rape or incest, should the mother be able to murder the 2-year-old if she is getting on the mother's nerves?"If it's not OK to murder the 2-year-old toddler, then why the only-smaller unborn baby (who is also a developing human)?Or the pro-choice advocate says, "We should abort the baby for the very poor mother who cannot properly take care of the baby."You respond by trotting out the toddler.

CAN WE TRUST THE BIBLE?3 Most Important Questions To Focus On:1. Early Writing - How do we know the letters of the New Testament were written in the 1st century AD?2. Accurate Writing - How do we know that the New Testament documents, written down in the 1st century AD, actually happened?3. Accurate Copies - How do we know the version of the New Testament we read today in our Bibles is the same one written back in the 1st century AD?Early WritingThe early church fathers (these were the disciples OF the disciples who lived in the 1st and 2nd century AD) quoted from these New Testament documents.You can't quote from something that wasn't already written.So if they are quoting from something in 110 AD, it must have already been written before that point.St. Clement of Rome (or Pope Clement I) writing from Rome in AD 95, quotes from Matthew, Mark, Like, Romans, 1 Corinthians, Ephesians, 1 Timothy, Titus, Hebrews, James, and 1 Peter.St. Ignatius of Antioch wrote letters from Smyrna in Asia Minor in AD 107, quoting from 24 of the 27 books that we currently have in our New Testament today.St. Polycarp of Smyrna, the disciple of John (lived from AD 69-155) wrote a letter from Smyrna in Asia Minor in AD 110, and quotes from 18 of the 27 books that we currently have in our New Testament.So now that we know these New Testament documents were written in the 1st century AD, let's move to question 2.Accurate WritingHow do we know the New Testament documents written down in the 1st century actually happened?Keep in mind, the key question of what the authors of the New Testament wrote about was the resurrection of Jesus. If it happened, as they claimed, then Jesus was the Son of God and Christianity is true.If He didn't rise from the dead, then Christianity is false.So the New Testament documents were 27 documents, written on 27 different scrolls, by 9 authors, over a 20-to-50-year period, in the 1st century AD.So who were these 9 authors?Who were the authors?St. Paul, who wrote 13 (of the 27 New Testament documents) became a follower of Christ around 32 AD, about 2 years after Jesus rose from the dead (around 30 AD).Paul wrote his letters in a period between around AD 48 and AD 64. This is less than 20 years after Jesus rose; if Paul was lying, other people would speak out and say so.Hebrews is the only book that we are unsure who the author is.The other authors of the New Testament documents (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, James, Peter, and Jude) were either disciples of Jesus (and thus eyewitnesses of these events), or, as in the case of Mark and Luke, got their information directly from these eyewitnesses.So why should we trust their accounts?The Authors Gained No Accolades - Only Torture and DeathInstead of gaining power or popularity as writers of today may gain, the New Testament writers got just the opposite: submission, servitude, torture, and even death (because they were claiming Jesus rose from the dead).Most of these writers lost their lives for what they proclaimed. If they knew they were lying about Jesus rising from the grave, they wouldn't DIE for that lie. Would you?Also, archaology has confirmed over 80 historically claimed details from the Gospel of Luke, and around 60 historical and/or archaeological details from the Gospel of John.Also, there are at least 30 characters in the New Testament who have been confirmed as historical by archaeology and non-Christian sources.If what was said about people, places, and events at that time has been proven to be scientifically accurate, it is reasonable to ask why we shouldn't consider the other things that the Gospel writers said about Jesus.Accurate Copies/ManuscriptsHow do we know the version of the New Testament we read today in our Bibles is the same one written back in the 1st century AD?For this third question, it is not too difficult because we have copies of these documents (over 6,000 in Greek alone and over 20,000 in other languages) that we can compare to see if the current version we have today is similar to what was written 2,000 years ago.And as we compare, we find that the documents we have today are over 99% accurate to what was written thousands of years ago, and NONE of the differences there are affect any of the core Christian doctrines we have today.

DID JESUS RISE FROM THE DEAD?2 Most Important Questions To Focus On:1. Is there evidence (even outside of the Bible) that Jesus walked the earth and was crucified on the cross in the 1st century AD? (answer is yes)2. Then what happened to His body?Scholars Agree Jesus Lived and Was CrucifiedAbout 99% of New Testament scholars (both liberal and conservative) would say that there was a person named Jesus, who walked the earth in the 1st century AD.Why? Because there are non-Christian 1st century and other early writers who wrote about Him (this is EXTRABIBLICAL evidence (evidence out side of the Bible)).About 95% of those same scholars (both liberal and conservative) would say that Jesus was crucified on the cross, under Pontius Pilate in the 1st century AD.So what happened to His body?If He rose from the dead, then this validates what He said when He was on the earth, that He truly was the Son of God.But maybe He didn't rise. We will look at the alternatives below.Alternatives to Jesus Rising From the DeadMaybe Jesus Hypnotized His Disciples Into Thinking He Rose From the Dead11 of the 12 disciples (not counting the apostle John) were martyred, proclaiming the fact that Jesus rose from the dead, and we have some of their testimonies of this is written form, in the New Testament.They all SAW the risen Lord.People who are hypnotized do NOT have the same experiences - they see different things.Group hypnosis (them all seeing the same thing) is NOT a real thing.Yet each of them proclaimed the same thing, that they had seen Jesus, risen from the dead.Furthermore, this theory would still have the problem of the empty tomb.If they were hypothetically all hypnotized, people could just walk over to Jesus' tomb and see that He was still dead, and prove Christianity was false.Maybe Jesus Never Actually Died On The Cross (Called Swoon Theory) But Just Fainted So It Appeared He DiedThis theory has a lot of problems as well.The problem with this theory, firstly, was Jesus' flogging.Jesus was whipped and bloody.Have you ever gotten a cut on the bottom of your foot?How does it feel to walk even a few steps on that foot?So Swoon Theory says that Jesus was beaten and bleeding from shoulders, down his back, passed His buttocks, and onto His thighs, and is laying there in a tomb for multiple days.Then somehow, He manages to get up, walk over to the 2-ton stone door, roll that away, still bleeding, walk out the door, fight off the Roman guards keeping watch (whose lives depended on them keeping watch, then walk miles to where His disciples were, and appear to them, and say, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, follow Me."Can you imagine the disciples thinking to themselves, as He is bleeding all over the ground, "Wow, I really want that sort of resurrected body as well."No, they would have said, "Get this guy a doctor!"Maybe the Disciples Stole Jesus' Body and Just Said That He Rose From the DeadThe problem with this theory is that the disciples would not die for a lie. Would you?If you knew something was a lie (something that you made up), and someone was about to kill you for it, would you stick to your lie?Doubtful. Additionally, this doesn't explain the conversions of St. Paul, and James the brother of Jesus (who did not believe in Jesus as the Son of God until after He rose from the dead).

The Information Inside of DNAAtheist scientists, including Richard Dawkins, have said that the amount of information inside even the simplest DNA molecule that could have existed as life began in our universe is equal to 1,000 23-volume Encyclopedia Brittanica sets, which is equivalent to about a MILLION typed pages of information.Where did all that information come from?This is not just random information, but specific information - a language.Dr. Stephen Meyer pointed this out in 2009, in his seminal book, "Signature in the Cell."Anywhere else in our world, where we experience a code, we know there is coder behind that code, an intelligent mind.Anywhere else where we experience a specific language in our world, we know that there is a mind behind that language.There is meaning there, and that meaning did not just come about as a random cosmic accident.The language of code inside of our DNA had to come from somewhere.An intelligent mind (AKA God) is the most reasonable inference.2. The Big BangThere are only 2 options - either the universe is eternal, OR whatever or Whoever created the universe is eternal.For decades, scientists fought the idea that the universe could have been created at a certain point, because this of course infers some type of GREATER mind which created it, thus pointing to God.However, the finding of background radiation from the Big Bang, as well as the red-shift in stars and galaxies (implying they were expanding away from us (and so, started expanding out at some point in the past)) led most scientists to change their tune.Scientists have found background radiation from the Big Bang, and this forced these scientists to concede that there was a beginning to our universe.This proves there was a point in time, or out of time you could say, where time, space, and matter were first created.Now whatever created time, space, and matter couldn't Himself have been made of space, matter, and yes, even time.So who do we know Who is timeless, spaceless, and immaterial?God3. The Fine-Tuning Of the UniverseThe Anthropic Principles basically states that it seems like the universe was created specifically for us, as humans ("anthropos" is greek for human).There seems to be a "fine-tuning" in all the dials of the universe which make our planet, Earth, habitable for us to live in.If we were just a bit closer or a bit farther from the sun, we would all die.If the expansion rate of the universe were a bit different, life would never have formed.If the mass density of the universe were a bit different, life would never have formed.The list goes on to the tune of over 100 different "Anthropic Constants" that need to be fine-tuned so specifically or life as we know it would not exist.Does this point to a random accident where all of these over 100 constants "just happened" to all line up, or does it rather point to a Divine Intelligence (God) that has made our planet specifically habitable for us to exist?I believe science points to a Divine Creator yet again.4. The Fossil RecordThe fossil record does not support Darwinian Evolution, with its idea of common descent, that everything (all of life), through the process of natural selection, all evolved randomly.We would expect to see transitional fossils between one species and another species if that were true, and that is not what we find.Sure, we find evidence of MICROEVOLUTION occurring (change within a species (like dog-breeding)), but what we do NOT find is the MACROEVOLUTION (change outside of a species) necessary to warrant Darwinian Evolution true.The late Harvard paleontologist, Stephen J. Gould, recognized this, and so tried to create a different theory to explain away the inconsistencies (called Punctuated Equilibrium), but this too comes up empty on evidence.The fossil record actually points to large CREATIVE moments in time where many different phyla are created in a geologically small window of time, like the Cambrian Explosion.So too, the fossil record seems to point to creation bursts, which fit better with God.5. Irreducible ComplexitiesFinally, scientists have found that there are certain biological entities, animal processes, etc. that could not have evolved in a Darwinian step-by-step gradualistic process.Dr. Michael Behe, a biochemist who teaches at Lehigh University, discovered these finds and published them in a book called "Darwin's Black Box" in 1996.He highlighted certain biological structures and processes such as the Bombadier Beetle, the Bacterial Flagellum, and blood-clotting, which could not have evolved in this Darwinian step-by-step process.The more scientists dig, the farther they look into space, and closer they see in our human bodies, the MORE it points to a Creator God.This is why this is an exciting time to live in for scientists, and especially those of faith.

ARCHAEOLOGY3 Most Important Points To Focus On1. Massive Archaeological Evidence - There are dozens (and far more even) of archaeological finds that support the claims in the Bible.2. Christian Central Claim Supported By Archaeology - The central claim of Christianity is Jesus on a cross being crucified and then rising from the dead.Jesus crucified on a cross in the 1st century AD is an historical fact that can be traced back both historically and archaeologically.Jesus rising from the dead is the best conclusion, considering the evidence.3. Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral nor idolators nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men.Also see 1 Thessalonians 4:2-8; Galatians 5:19-21; 2 Corinthians 12:21; 1 Timothy 1:9-10; Mark 7:21-23.Common ObjectionsWhy Judge Them For Loving Each Other?Love does NOT mean affirming homosexual behavior, or any OTHER behavior the Bible calls sin.There are many other instances where we don't allow certain behaviors, even though love is involved, including consensual sex with one's parent (even though they might love each other), sex with one's sibling, a child, an animal, etc.If it's just ALL about love, should we permit these behaviors as well?Furthermore, St. Paul condemned the man sleeping with his father's wife in 1 Corinthians 5:1, regardless of whether it was love or not.There Is a Huge Difference Between Having Homosexual Desires, and Acting On Those DesiresSome people struggle with alcoholism.Other young men struggle with looking at other women while married, or with adultery.And there are married men who struggle with pornography.Some people have anger issues, and they often want to punch other people in the face for the things they say, but have to give that to God.Just because there is a sin you struggle with doesn't mean you should act on that desire.Separation of Church and State ArgumentSome argue that Christians should keep their religious morality out of policy.But ALL LAWS legislate morality - it's just the question of WHOSE morality we use to legislate those laws.Churches and the Bible ALSO teach that murder, rape, and child abuse are wrong.But one does NOT say that laws prohibiting such acts are a violation of the "separation of church and state".Jesus Didn't Say Anything About HomosexualityFirst of all, Jesus (God the Son) has existed forever (according to the doctrine of the Trinity) so anything that God said in the Old Testament was in agreement with Jesus, or the eternal Son of God.Also, no first-century could have spoken of "porneiai" (sexual immoralities) without having in mind the list of FORBIDDEN sexual offenses in Leviticus 18 and 20, particularly incest, adultery, same-sex intercourse, and bestiality.The reason that Jesus did not speak explicitly against same-sex intercourse is obviously the same reason why He did not speak explicitly against incest and bestiality.The position of the Hebrew Bible on such matters was so unequivocal and visceral, the stance of early Judaism so undivided, with the incidence of concrete violations so rare, that nothing more needed to be said.

Transgender8 Most Important Things To Focus On1. Gender Dysphoria Is Real - Gender dysphoria is a REAL thing that people struggle through, and we as Christians should show grace to the people struggling with that.2. It Is Rare - Around only 0.6% of adults in the U.S. identify as a different gender than their biological sex (this is data from 2017 - I understand this has risen dramatically in the past few years).3. (most important question to ask) - If our gender identity is biologically determined, how do we account for people whose gender identity changes over time?)If our gender identity is self-created, why must other people accept it as reality?4. FEELING something does NOT make it so - the challenge for activists to explain is why a person's "real" sex is determined by an inner gender identity, but age, height, race, and species are not determined by an inner sense of identity.5. The medicine - Transgender medicine is a 4-step treatment process of social transition, puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgery.Transgender activists argue that children should start social transition in kindergarten, puberty blockers at 9, cross-sex hormones at 16, and surgery at 18.6. Parents Have No Say - If parents don't agree with their children getting beginning treatments, their child may be taken away from them (as a "toxic environment"), and the parents will be told it's the only way to prevent the child from committing suicide.7. Field Trips Become Dangerous - Girls will have no advance notice that aboy who identifies as a girl, but has all the standard male body parts will be undressing in their locker room or shower, or spending the night in their hotel room.8. Between 80% and 95% of children who express a discordant gender identity will come to identify with their bodily sex if natural development is allowed to proceed.

Critical Race Theory3 Most Important Things To Focus On
1. Defining what the word "Critical Race Theory" means and where it comes from2. They are redefining the words "racist" and "white supremacist"3. The Gospel contradicts CRT.1. Where CRT Comes From - Critical Race Theory, which comes from Marxism (ideology of class warfare (one group is oppressed and the other is the oppressor)).In the social sciences, the word "Critical" is "geared toward identifying and exposing problems in order to facilitate revolutionary political change."The word "Theory", when treated as a proper noun (capitalized) is an appropriate catch-call term for the thinking behind Critical Social Justice.The word "Critical" implies a revolution to overthrow the government (or powers that be) and the word "Theory" implies that our society is basically inherently "unequal" and we need to overthrow it.2. They Changed Racism and White Supremacist Definitions - According to the new definitions of racism and white supremacy, pretty much ALL white people (especially white men) are guilty of racism and white supremacy whether or not they ever had a racist thought in their mind.If doesn't matter if YOU, as a white person, are racist, it matters that YOU as a white person are PART OF A SYSTEM which gives you a privilege that makes you superior in some way.3. The Gospel Contradicts CRT - According to the Gospel, we are ALL human beings made in the image of a holy, loving, and just God.According to Critical Theory (CT), our identity is not found in who we are created to be, but in how we relate with other groups as defined by our class, gender, sexual preferences, etc.According to Christianity, sin against a holy God is what's wrong with the world. According to CT, oppression is what's wrong with the world.According to historical Christianity, the sin problem is fixed by Jesus taking the punishment for our sins upon Himself, dying the death we deserve, so it could be reconciled to God.According to CT, the problem of oppression is fixed by activism, raised awareness, and an overthrow of oppressive systems and their power.

What Is Socialism-Communism?1. Socialism/Communism is based on stealing from others - According to Karl Marx and modern socialists, wealth should be seized by a powerful ruling class and redistributed to the rest of society.If you plan to redistribute everyone's wealth, you need to take it first, and the only way to do that is to seize control of social institutions and then force people to give up their wealth.2. Socialism/Communism is a Magic Trick - The government gets to decide what to do with YOUR money.People are inherently greedy and evil, so the government (which is just made up of people and THEIR ideas) are using YOUR money (money which they did not earn but took) in order to use it for whatever THEIR heart desires (whether it helps the poor or not; and usually it doesn't).3. Socialism/Communism Always Ends in Blood Shed - Throughout the passed 100 years, whenever Socialism/Communism/Marxism is initiated on a large scale, it ends up in blood shed. It's not a small list either!Some examples are: Angola (1977), Cambodia (1975), Nazi Germany (1930s and '40s), Cuba and China (1959), Romania (1946), Vietnam (1960s), Zimbabwe (1983), etc,

Morality2 Most Important Points To Focus On1. Evil In The World Actually Proves God Exists - If there's evil in the world, that means there's good in the world.If there's good in the world, there must be a moral law, something that differentiates between good and evil.If there's a moral law, there must be a moral law giver, someone who instituted that moral law, who is outside of OUR opinions or preferences.Thus God.2. Objective Morality Points To God - Atheists (those who believe there is no God) have no grounds for saying ANYTHING is objectively right or wrong (objectively wrong means something is wrong regardless of where you comes from or who you are (like rape, or torturing little children for fun)).If there is ANYTHING that can be said to be objectively (or truly) wrong (wrong outside of how each of us feels about it), this implies a God who set up a right and wrong (moral code) outside of our personal opinions.AGAIN, this demonstrates that an atheist (according to their view point that no objective standard outside of our own opinions exists (that no God exists)), cannot say ANYTHING is objectively right or wrong in the world (according to their own worldview).If there's anything objectively wrong in the world, that actually proves God exists.The fact that there are things in the world (like rape or torturing 3-year-olds for fun) that we would say were objectively wrong means there is a God who exists!
